History
Life Care Solutions, Inc. was established on June 1, 1994 by Robin Dahmen and Susan Reed in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Before owning and operating Life Care Solutions, Susan
worked as a care manager in Adult Services for twelve years. During
this time she recognized the need for a care management solution
that would allow senior citizens to make their own choices and remain as
independent as possible. At a bachelors level Susan has an emphasis in
geriatrics. She completed her master's degree and has an advanced
certificate in gerontology. Susan has been involved in programs that
advocate for the elderly and disabled since the onset of her career.
Robin has 31 years of experience in the field of nursing. She has held numerous positions in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, from rehabilitation floor nurse to the Director of Nursing Services. She witnessed how traditional medical model fragments care. Robin chose to be involved in the creation of an organization that makes a difference in continuum of life for the elderly and the disabled.
Robin and Susan combine their skills and talents effectively meeting the challenges facing older people. Valuing a hands on approach to management, they personally open and assess each case and become familiar with each client. They work with care recipient, before matching a compatible care manager with the individual. Led by Robin and Susan the staff at Life Care Solutions meets regularly to review each client's need and incorporate changes that preserve the self-determination of each client.
